The Geography of Columbia
Columbia is situated in the northern part of south America. I has a coast but also boarders several other south American countries including Ecuador and Peru. While it is not on the equator it is close so can be very warm. Columbia has a tropical climate along its coast but can become cool in the highlands. The lowest point is right at sea level and the highest point it 5,775m above sea level. Those highlands are part of the Andes mountain range with are and effect of the ring of fire which Columbia is situated on. Being on the ring of fire Columbian is not stranger to volcanoes the last eruption was by mount Galeras in 2010, it is also subject to the occasional earthquake.
